When choosing a contractor…do they measure up?

1. Are they a licensed and bonded Contractor?
2. If needed ask to see the contractor’s license and a current photo ID.
3. What is their company Vision & Mission statement when it comes to customers and business’s they serve?
4. How long has the company been in business? Stability and finical strength?
5. Do the services you require align with the company’s main strengths?
6. What are their warranty and guarantee?
7. Does the contractor have workers compensation insurance for their employees?
8. Payment schedule; amounts, due dates, terms and types of payments options available.

CRBR is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 Days a year to respond to emergency Board up calls. CRBR can dispatch a work crew that has experience in dealing with residential and commercial properties of all sizes. We offer Professional board up services that secure your home or business from further vandalism, intruders and weather conditions. Additionally, our crews can set up temporary Fencing if required. What do I do if my property tests positive for Asbestos?

Asbestos can be a very hazardous fiber when disturbed, especially in construction. Because of the potentially harmful nature, Cal/OSHA has strict requirements regarding its handling and removal. In fact, Cal/OSHA regulates all asbestos handling, regardless of the setting. Even small amounts removed by a homeowner are governed and must follow strict transportation and disposal requirements. Asbestos abatement or removal does not require an asbestos certification if the total area affected is less than 100 square feet; however, an uncertified contractor who removes asbestos is subject to fines of up to $25,000 a day if the detailed regulations are ignored. (Asbestos in Construction Standard, Title 8 California Code of Regulations, section 1529). If you are renting the property, the owner must disclose to the tenant that Asbestos is present. The tenant can withhold rent or hold the Property owner responsible for health issues related to the Asbestos while living at the property. Another critical reason why you should have it done professionally to minimize your chances of exposure once disturbed. When you hire a licensed contractor, make sure the individual has all of the appropriate abatement tools, training, licensing, and certification necessary to comply with state law, so you, your tenants or employees are not inadvertently exposed to asbestos fibers. What do I do if my property tests positive for Lead?

Lead is a highly toxic metal that may cause a range of health problems, especially in young children. When lead is absorbed into the body, it can cause damage to the brain and other vital organs, like the kidneys, nerves, and blood. If your home was built pre-1978, it might have lead based paints present. Anytime you cut, sand or disturb surfaces painted with lead paint, even if layers of newer paint cover the paint, you risk creating hazardous lead dust environment. You can reduce the possibility of lead exposure by having a trained and certified lead abatement contractor remove the lead from the area. CRBR technicians have been trained in special methods to minimize dust and clean up thoroughly to reduce the chance of lead contamination.
