Our History

“Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.” Back in 1959, Cleanrite™, then Duraclean®, began its commitment to serving the North Valley of California. Verne Andreasen wanted to build a solid business to provide for his growing family so in 1975, he purchased the business and with his strong work ethic and commitment to customer service, he built the firm foundation of Cleanrite. From a carpeting & Upholstery store, to now more than 50 years later we are continuing to fulfill Verne and Dan’s vision as the North State leader in full service carpet cleaning, water damage emergency services, and construction restoration. Verne and Dan expanded the family business serving three generations. Cleanrite continues to succeed focusing on strong customer service and community response. Maintaining its commitment to superior carpet and upholstery cleaning. As most family owned businesses operate, Dan worked in the business throughout his life. While attending Butte College in 1984, he opened our Redding Branch Office, offering full service carpet cleaning, water damage emergency services and construction restoration throughout the Redding area. It was apparent to Dan that there was a strong need in our local communities to assist them with construction and reconstruction emergency services. The success of our construction services led Dan to formalize the brand, “Buildrite” to gain consistency with all of our services. Thus Cleanrite-Buildrite was born. After serving the Yuba/Sutter region for over 25 years it was time for more growth so our new Yuba City Branch Office was opened in 2007.Upon our 50 year celebration in serving the North State in 2009, we opened our New Sacramento Branch with our team of emergency dispatch personnel, carpet cleaners and construction workers. Most recently, CRBR is proud to open our newest branch office in the Reno/Lake Tahoe area. After more than 50 years of “Doing it Rite” in the North State, we highly appreciate those whom we have helped in their time of need.
